On Sunday 18th October 2015 the annual Frieth Hilly 10k & 5k runs took place, with 520 runners completing the hilly challenges through the Hambledon Valley.
The 10k race starts on the road outside the school and takes the runners down from Frieth into Fingest, along the valley through Skirmett, with a sharp hill ascent in to Hachet Wood, the route continues through to St. Katharines convent at Parmoor and down the road to Pheasants, where the runners take a hard left turn, back towards Frieth via Moorend Wood and home to the finish line, to enjoy the celebrations of completing the event.
The pictures below were taken at Skirmett, approx. 3.5k into the 10k route, the runners are still fresh and just warming up for the hard ascent up in to Hachett Wood, the pictures reflect their good spirits.
Full details of the race are on the Frieth Hilly website, along with more galleries and the results.
