Meeting with the Marlow Arts and Crafts Society

This was a very good evening indeed and very well supported by both Clubs. It was relaxed, entertaining, and friendly.

Both Clubs entered work in six categories, which were: Blue, Montage/Collage, Flowers, Monochrome, Machinery, and Pets. It was amazing to see the range of imagination, interpretation, and expertise that members of both clubs brought to the evening, and it fired my enthusiasm to pick up the paintbrush again (although I have been taking a temporary break from Pat B’s art classes – see you in May, Pat!) and try out some of the techniques used.

I lost count of the number of exhibits, but they covered 12 tables and were spilling over the edges! As Pat and I put up each piece, the owner talked about their work and what had influenced them to create it. Such a lot of time, effort, and love had gone into every creation.

Thank you very much Rod, Jacqueline, Margaret, Maureen, Wilma, Pat and all the other agreeable and enthusiastic people who made this such a great evening.
